Work
When I began sculpting after years of designing for stage, I had the satisfaction of finally telling my own stories. A lifetime of emotions I had bottled away poured into my work: my trauma as a domestic violence survivor, my desperation watching the mass extinction of species as well as memories of love and joy. I use traditional sculpting materials such as clay and wood, as well as other mixed media used in set design. I think of each piece as a silent play merging my stories of triumph and tragedy with those of our collective past.
